Well, one has two options, either go to a usual wok place or try the hard-core Chinese restaurant. While the first would not be bursting with healthy options, the second one might be too strange tasting. Sea Palace is a bit different. Many things available...More

The place is very good, with nice view!! The food is good also but I prefer more traditional chinese restaurant. This restaurant is more european friendly about food, not so much traditional choices.

I visited Amsterdam with a large group of friends for my 30th birthday in July. We had booked the Sea Palace after doing a bit of research online from the UK, despite the mixed reviews. We were all so impressed wit the restaurant. It was...More

A great place. We arrived without a reservation and had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. We didn't mind as it has a nice bar area. The place is a hive of activity with plenty of turnover on tables. Chen looked after us...More

Visited on a recommendation from our hotel receptionist. It was a Saturday night visit and hadn't booked, had to take a seat at the bar whilst they found a table, rather bizarre considering the number of tables that were free when we did get shown...More

I went here with the kids after a visit to the national maritime museum to have lunch. I visited the restaurant several times myself and wanted them to try Dim Sum as they'd never eaten that before. Quite honestly it was rather disappointing this time....More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of
tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists
and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the
best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe.
Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops
of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones
Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods
such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring

The restaurant is large and so I expect you would get a table OK without a booking, (we did), but given its for a special event Its probably best to book (better safe than sorry!).

I remember that there were fish dishes and veggie dishes (without rice or noodles).I don't know if the sauces they are cooked in might have gluten in it.
