What distinguishes Sluizer is their warm service, which is a rare find in Amsterdam. Everyone is friendly and flexible, and they make you feel special. For that alone, I recommend it and will return again. The food is not extraordinary, but neither is it overpriced like so many other places offering the same in the city. I would definitely classify... More

After a few years I went back to Sluizer to dine with a group of colleagues after work. The atmosphere was quite nice as I had previously noted and the food with a nice range on offer, namely on fish/seafood oprtions and some imagination in the build-up of the menu, either in the mains and in the desserts. Had a... More

I went for dinner in this restaurant with a large group of people. The service was very quick, efficient and the food was very good. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant is very charming and has a cozy ambient.

Celebrated turning 50 with 16 friends in the angel room. Food and service were excellent but it was details such as tulips I requested on the table which made it memorable. Staff very pleasant too. Franka very helpful when I was organising the night. would recommend and hope to return soon.

We had the surprise menu with 3 courses where you can have a full surprise menu or decide on fish or meat. The food was excellent and the presentation and service as good for a very reasonable price . Would definitely recommend.

Very pleasant restaurant, furnished in a "new vintage" dutch style. Is it possible to take a "surprise menu", i.e. to have three choices of the menù, at chef option. I tried a very nice fish with couscous for starter and salmon plus vegetables as main course. With white wine (a delicious pinot) but nothing for dessert, I paid about 40... More

What a beautiful place, quintessentially dutch (i.e. relaxed, clean, elegant and quirky) - we were lured in here by the mention of a 'surprise' menu: 3 courses (meat or fish based) chosen by the chef. Both me and my partner opted for fish and had the most stunning of meals; delicatly presented tasters of mackerel, mussels, halibut and salmon that... More

We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant on our first night in Amsterdam. The staff was incredibly nice, the service was fast but not stressed and helpful and the presentation of the food above expectation. The menu was creative and for me, someone with many allergies, the chef prepared an excellent meal. Definately a place to visit in Amsterdam.

A good restaurant centrally located and had a nice variety of first course dishes, average quality meats and ok deserts. Nice but not more than that
