easily my worst eating experience in a long time. Amazingly bland food. Two dishes we were told would be hot were way off this.Vegetables in sweet coconut milk were disgusting. Even the chicken was sweet ! This is a poor representation of Indonesian food.Avoid !!

OK rijsttafel, and slightly pricey at 29 euros for the more premium set menu. We came away feeling full, the food was satisfying, but not outstanding. I've had other rijsttafel in Amsterdam, some at similar price range, and this was not the best I've had.

It was annoying to be told we couldn’t just order a dish of our choice from the menu, we had to have a whole buffet. We decided to stay and went with it but then the food was mediocre at best and although there was...More

We got the vegetarian rice table and we were delighted with the amazing selection of food we got. Everything was so tasty, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great value for money and would definitely recommend this place!

I found the restaurant via Thr Fork..the rice table intreged me as it gives a nice sampler. I booked in advanced and noted my allergies and which rice table we wanted. We arrived and were warmly greated. The food exceptional. A must.

This rijstaffel restaurant is tucked away down an alley [Warmoerstraat] in the Wallen. Run by a family from Flores, in the eastern Indonesian islands. We had the standard Rijstaffel 'Rasa', at €20. There is a wider, more luxurious selection 'Aneka', for €30. But the Rasa...More

Meat based dishes are excellent! The vegetables such as lodeh and green beans are too sweet for my liking! Friendly staff

Ordered the vegetarian selection for 2 and the meat selection for 2 and the four of us had more wonderful food than we could eat. The range of dishes was amazing and the flavours fantastic. We were well looked after by friendly, efficient staff.

I only found out this place was in the red light district when I opened this column. So don't be deceived by the red light location. It is a great place and offers very good and family friendly service. (I say this for uptight North...More

I adore Indonesian food. I search the world for it, including having been to Indonesia to feast on it! As a vegetarian though, I'm always wary of hidden fish sauces and shrimp paste or bland interpretations of meat dishes. Not so at Aneka Rasa. The...More

Pretty sure you can get gluten free most of the items in the Rijstaffel, but call the restaurant like any one else would do :)
