A great find (despite being listed in the well known DK guide book!). Food was excellent and authentic. We had sushi, sashimi and noodles. The sushi is prepared at a traditional Japanese counter, you can either sit at the counter, at normal tables or even...More

...the food didn't impress. Well presented, well cooked, but most of the simple and main dishes our company tried lacked seasoning whatsoever and because of this, lacked further remembrance. On the other hand, the restaurant atmosphere were impressive indeed, everything from the music, interior visuals...More

The food was good, but.... Service could be so much better, meaning: -to be seated took a while, -than they could not come and take the order for 20 minutes after we asked them to come by our table for 3 times - the food...More

Love love love this place. In my opinion it's better than the Okura which has a Michelin star. The sashimi is to die for, the sushi is exquisite and all the other dishes which I've had (fried tofu in dashi , fried chicken, edamame, beans...More

We paid €50 per person for shared starters (avocado salad, wakame salad, bean salad, yakitori, eel maki, miso and choshyu), a main each (goose, yakitori mix and sushi mix) plus soft drinks/beer and the cheapest but still good sake slider. Everything was good, especially the...More

Very high quality of Sashimi including Toro Yellowtail, same for the beef used in shabu shabu. Very professional kitchen and service. VERY reasonable prices for the quality. Parking is difficult but Europark is close by. Reserve if you go.

Our local hosts in Amsterdam's Jordaan district recommended this restaurant enthusiastically, so we invited them to dinner there. The food was quite good, especially the sushi and sashimi, but was quite expensive for what we got. But the service...ah, the service. In a word, it...More

We were staying in the neighborhood for 4 nights as part of a longer vacation. One night we were in the mood for sushi and had walked past Akitsu several times. We decided to give it a go and had a great experience. The food...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
