Can't wait to go back! Wonderful traditional Dutch food, warm atmosphere and friendly service. What more could you want? Perfect from start to finish.

A nice place, English Friendly. The sat is right away, the food was tasty and prompt. We had the Stampots (meatball and sausage) and the Chicken Satay. All three dishes were great!

We were seated promptly due to our 700pm arrival....thankfully so because it got very busy shortly thereafter. On of my table mates had the mussels which were fantastic. I had the pork chop selection and unfortunately it was overdone. The service was friendly and professional.

We had asked Dutch friends in Spain for some traditional dishes to try when we visit Amsterdam. Armed with a list of typical foods for which to look, we found this restaurant and ticked off four; haring, erwettensoep, stamppot and rookworst. Not surprisingly, we departed stuffed and unable to have cleaned off our plates. HARING : raw, pickled herring, smothered... More

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to De Blauwe Hollander and our two traditional Dutch Stamppots particularly! It's a mash dish (potato and a vegetable cooked in the same pan) served with a piece of meat. I had tender beef, the good lady had a meatball! It was part of a three course set menu (20 Euros each) -... More

We visited last week for a late lunch, and my husband and I split the three course meal, which I think is about €20. We started with the pea soup, which once we added salt, was delicious. We then had one of their traditional stamppots We chose theendive and meatball stamppot and both very much enjoyed it. We then had... More

Great atmosphere and a little bit different. Had the local stamppots which went down a storm with the kids who can be fussy eaters at times. The waitress wall really helpful and chatty. Prices very reasonable. All went away happy and full.
