Depending what time of day you eat regulates what month you should visit. Dinner with a sunset. Located below the town on the beach just a few feet above sea level the sunsets are fantastic. The beach faces west and there is nothing between Zandvoort and Lowestoft. I know where I would rather be. A limited Dutch Menu with no... More

It was a busy summer afternoon and the staff were very busy but still friendly. The food is nothing special, and the white wine was not chilled but they did bring us some ice when we asked for it. There were no large bottles of sparkling water. Sold out!

The restaurant is located right on a beach in a really nice location, I like the decoration, sort of nautical theme. We sat outside on a large patio, it has glass screens all round which removes a lot of the sea breeze which was brilliant. Service was friendly and efficient. As you would expect on a beach from restaurant, its... More

Limited Dutch menu allows the Chef to excel. This is an 'on the beach' restaurant. Free parking on the road above after 7 or 8. Arrive before sunset and watch it go down. The restaurant faces west straight out to see, next land is Lowestoft, East Anglia. Obviously best in good weather but has a lovely fire for winter nights... More

A really good spot on the Zandvoort Beach. View is great. Waiters are extremely kind and polite and food is well prepared. In my opinion the price is slightly high for the portions and kind of food. There is no fish as such in the menu, but sandwiches, bites, salads, etc.

Zout tries to deliver a better quality than the remaining beach restaurants. The food almost reaches this aspiration even though price / quality is for me out of balance. Where it goes terribly wrong is the service. I understand that it is challenging to serve well on a very busy day. But staff was flat out unfriendly, multiple dishes were... More

We went for dinner with my family from Holland. Such a great atmosphere, right on the beach. We enjoyed the food very much. Kids were happy with food options for them and then they played on the beach. We could watch them from inside, with a nice glass of wine. We do not eat seafood, but my family does. That... More

Food was good, though just before we left the dishwasher guy went to the toulet (made some attrocious noises and smells) then popped straight into the kitchen without washing his hands and handles all the clean glasses and cutlery. Fellow urinal users also flaberghasted. Gross.

I have been there several times and frankly the food is good. OK, one can argue about the relation of price vs quality etc but all restaurants at the beach have a higher price setting. Its a choice you make and with nice weather it is special. What you do not chose is to enjoy bad service and thats what... More
