We had a three course dinner at De Koekop. The food was very good, but we prefer more simplicity in presentation. The wine we were recommended was pleasant enough, but perhaps not the best choice for the food.

As a party of 4 we ate at this restaurant on the second of a 3 night stay. Despite the many apparently good other restaurants in the city, we all agreed that a return visit was the only thing we wanted to do on the third night. Ignore the

weird place really: we picked 3-course surprise menu and were very much surprised by not matching courses, small amounts, strange taste combinations ... there was no music played, and we were the only ones in the restaurant. the waitress was very nice, but that's the only good thing in that place. Not recommended, rather go to Prentenkabinet or Fratelli.

Went and visited again early October. New name, now De Koekop, without the Jonge. New staff, chef and menu. Some three starters, two second, and four main courses. Food was okay at best. Service the same. Cutlery and crockery was not matched. Plates too deep for the short spoons and forks. The entire experience was a significant disappointment. Many restaurants... More
