3rd time here in 20 years. Has always been good. Would recommend this to anyone, unpretentious and good value.

Our hotel receptionist recommended this restaurant to us, and it lived up to her description. It oozed character, it had very pleasant staff, and the food was to die for. There appears to be a tradition of throwing peanut shells on the floor (bowls of...More
Apperently the oldest restaurant i Rotterdam and I really recommend a visit. I were there with a couple of friends out of which one was a local and had this place as his favorite restaurant in Rotterdam. It still has a fraternity vibe to it,...More
Had a great experience here on a lively Saturday night. Started out with oysters and cava and moved on to steaks with a bottle of red - everything was prepared simply, but to perfection. What we loved about this place was that it looks like...More
What a great restaurant full of character. It is quoted as being the oldest restaurant in the city. Once you taste the food and sample the lively ambiance you realize why it has been around for so long. Food is traditional, cooked in an open...More
I can't imagine the "European idiots who look after our safety" would allow a place like this to be built nowadays. Half the kitchen seems to be in the restaurant and the decor has not been changed (or thoroughly cleaned by the look of it...More
What a special place, the staff are excellent, the food is made with care and is excellent. The only downside is the dust on the tie hanging from the wall, and the bathroom location. But a definite go back.
I've been there for dinner. A typical restaurant with traditional Dutch food. The interiors are very beautiful and old fashioned, the kitchen is placed in the middle of the restaurant and you the chef cooking. The waiters are very professional and sober.
In a warm location, you can see the cook's action, good service, really fast, traditional tasty food. I'l be back again
