In a recently revamped part of town, La Fontanella is well located with a nice and spacious terrace. The service and the food are of a much higher quality than one would expect in a touristic area. Will definitely go back when around!

Shame to have just eaten pizza in what looked like a "proper" Italian restaurant, but my colleague and I were on a budget and not over-burdened with time for a proper meal. The pizza was very good and the service friendly - what more to...More
The menu at La Fontanella di Enzo looks like any other Italian restaurant. Do not be deceived by this; the food is delicious and authentic. No cheese in the Saltimbocca Romana here! This is a place you can trust: same owner/chef (Enzo himself) for years,...More
This is normally an area of Antwerp where I never go for dinner. It's filled with tourist traps and it's not a nice neighborhood to hang out. But we were going to see the Cats musical in the Koning Elisabethzaal and were looking for a...More

We went to fontanella on a friday evening with previous reservation. We had starters and one dish each with beer and paid 78€. The food was excellent and the staff friendly but the service also relatively slow. The tables are also somehow too close together.
We've been coming here a few years and I have resisted reviewing them for fear of letting the secret out; that they're the best, that is! Hidden away in one of the less appealing corners of the city, behind the main promenade 'Keyserlei'. on a...More
If you are ever in Antwerp this is must visit restaurant. If at the weekend or holiday time, booking is a must. It's family run and the food and service are absolutely top notch. But the part is the atmosphere very friendly and cosy.
I've been here already a couple of times and the food was each time very good. Definitely one of the better Italians in the area but slightly more expensive.
