We were looking desperately for a restaurant in the "Belgo-French Cuisine" league, in particular in that area of Brussels were the vulgarisation of the restaurant business is a high risk. We fear for gastronomic pauperism! People that buy up multiple restaurants in the area (such as what happened with "Le Pre Sale" around the corner) undermine the individual character of... More

Together with my Girlfriend , we had booked a table for the NY eve about two weeks ago and got the immediate confirmation by email . What was our surprised when we came on the 31th and a girl said that they didn't receive the confirmation ( through your platform ) and that probably 30 people were in the same... More

Typical Brussels fish restaurant. A bit smaller and more intimate than most in this area, with friendly service. Prices are a bit on the high end for what remains a brasserie-style place.

In Brussels city center just across of hotel i stayed in for one night during business trip. Came in without reservation for early dinner around 18:30 place was empty but staff looked to be busy preparing for evening so i have walked in. I assume the owner was my waiter and he was willing to recommend two course dinner typical... More

They have changed owner but they are still one of my favorites. But reservations are needed if eating after 1900

Despite being the last customer of the evening, I received friendly service and great food. The 3-course prix-fixe dinner for 25 Euros was very reasonably priced. I chose the mussels cooked in white wine, which were fresh and clean, and the steak au poivre, which as done exactly the way I liked it, rare. Both came out piping hot, and... More

The food is excellent but they don't have free water. For the water, you have to pay an additionnal crazy price of 4€ an half litre. It impose you to pay a lot just to have basic drikes. After, the dessert are also expensive (from 7€ to 10€). Except this, it was really sympaticle Good food, excellent saucage, a little... More

This place used to be a historical one, with the best Dover Soles in town. I learned it closed down and was for sale for a year and now there is a new property. The Dover sole has gone as well as the former atmosphere. Low prices, adapted to the cuisine level.

I don't often give 5 star ratings, and this is the first time I have given 5 to a restaurant that is not an upmarket fine dining experience. Everything about our evening here was perfect, and reinforced our opinion that Belgium is the friendliest and foodiest country in Europe. Jacques is a fairly modest, rustic restaurant, frequented by locals, but... More
