I used to visit this sandwichbar in the early and late eighties, with my mother who used to work in Brussels. I accompanied her to work and got to eat lunch at Au Suisse, where they served milkshakes with Ovomaltine and the best sandwich with crevettes. When in Brussels, you have to eat a sandwich at this place.

At this place you can get Perfectly done typically Belgium sandwiches. Try tomato shrimp or chicken curry.. Or ask for local home made specialties.

I know this place already a long long time (15-20 years) and am never disappointed. I always take the same (A white baguette with americain) and it is always delicious and the taste is still the same after all these years. First, the right part was a cheese shop, several years ago, they've turned it into a sitting room where... More

This is supposed to be one of the best lunch spots in Brussels, but I have to disagree. The sandwiches were good, but really overpriced - for that price you can find much nicer places in the same neighbourhood. Also not the best atmosphere and slow service.

I ordered a Club Sandwich. It took more than 20 minutes to make. The sandwich tasted ok. Egg was green in the edges. The salad had brown spots. The cheese and ham was ok. Normal baguette. Size was ok.

The sandwiches are really good! However the staff are quite slow and the service can take long. We had to wait for someone more than 10 minutes just to give us the menu! The price is ok!

This is a call to the owner to ensure that this institution stay where it is. As always when in Brussels, we went for a sandwich and for the first time disappointed? From the service which took extremely long, no queue (perhaps break time for the staff), to the quality of the sandwich. ( both the americain and the tuna... More

The location on my downloaded trip advisor map was wrong. Good little cafe with a nice sandwich menu. I had a salami and Edam sandwich for approx 5 euros and it was quick to arrive. Friendly staff and close to good sights. There are lots of restaurants in the area but this is as good as any and not expensive... More

Maybe it is due to the fact that we are Sunday but the waitress should wake up... At least! And it is not raining... The bread is good.

This place is right on Anspach, almost directly across from the Bourse. You'd think it would be full of tourists but there are lots of older locals that go here too. They have cheap take-out sandwiches but if you sit down they have a nice menu with decent prices. We usually just go for a soup and/or a coffee though.... More
