We ate the 24 euro menu. None of the three dishes was fresh (even the pancake came from a frozen pack), the food was dull and the service not friendly and not attentive at all. Totally not worth the price for this "cheap" food!! We aten het 24 euro menu. Geen van de drie gerechten was vers (zelfs de pannenkoek... More

I was really happy to find this place! I went with a friend and we're both from asia. We were really looking forward to eating real belgian food and I think this is the most authentic one among the rest that we've tried through out our trip. The staff had difficulties communicating with us due to language barriers (they do... More

Quite pricy, 21 € for mussels. The staff spoke bad English and misunderstood my price question and then refused to let me change my glass of "Kir" to water.

Good Belgian food in a really cosy and authentic Belgian place, I clearly recommend! The food is excellent and the restaurant is in a great area of the old town of Brussels. And for a reasenable price 😀

Mayonnaise = 1 € The muscles were a bit small but tasty. The waitresses were a bit distant. Interior is cozy but not very classy

We went to a second hand market in a square close to the restaurant and we decided to eat there. It is a very small restaurant in a touristic street. I ate mussels (21€) with fried potatoes and mayonaisse sauce. They were nice, but a bit expensive (in Brussels city center we took nice mussels for 10€, beer included). My... More

When strolling in the rue Haute-rue Blaes area, we stopped over in this restaurant. It felt very familiar and soon we noticed that the Au vieux Bruxelles had changed its name to L'Ancien Bruxelles. Otherwise the very same restaurant. I repeat my earlier assessment (2013): "A modest looking restaurant, between the famous Rue Haute and Rue Blaes, offers a good... More

A modest looking restaurant, between the famous Rue Haute and Rue Blaes, offers a good quality-price ratio. Smooth and pleasant service. A homely example of a restaurant 'bruxellois' for drop-in eating.

We had the set lunchtime menu which had plenty of choice and 3 courses. The owner and waitress were extremely friendly and helpful. The portions were generous and very well presented. My salmon with bernaise sauce was beautifully cooked and the bottle of house white was great value. Set on a quirky little side street near the Jeu de Balle... More
