We went to Bonsoir Clara in a group of 16 or so. We had agreed a menu in advance. The restaurant forgot that we had agreed a menu and had to make one up on the spot. It was very poor. The wine was inexplicably...More

This restaurant was lovely, the food was excellent, the decor was nice and the service was good. Don't order the house white. Do order the creme brûlée.

Nice interior and professional but distant service. The was food fresh and well presented but very under seasoned and unadventurous. Reasonably priced but wouldn't got there again with all the great places to eat in Brussels.

A terrific meal. Surprisingly the restaurant was very quiet, with only a few other diners. This probably help us get very personal, professional and attentive service from the maitre d'hotel. The house-smoked swordfish was incredible - it almost tasted like ham! Similarly the magnet de...More

I have been with a group so we had a restricted menu - I picked a main course and a dessert. The fish was delicious and the dessert fine but not special, I anyhow enjoyed the evening. The atmosphere is cosy and the central location...More

I used to come here often when I lived in Brussels in the 90s. Two weeks ago on a sunday 19:30 we entered and asked to reserve a table for three. There were 4-5 tables dining. A tall headwaiter/waiter/manager (?) said the restaurant was not...More

Went there friends for new year's Eve and didn't regret it, although I understand our experience could be exceptional. One of the few restaurants at the city offering à la carte dinner that night. I had some game, very good —but a starter salmon salad...More

The restaurant is offering traditional Belgian/French cuisine, including delicious modern dishes. The ambience and service may seem a bit snob / arrogant but that's part of the tradition I guess ;-). Expect to dine a full evening and enjoy the wines. It's a bit expensive...More

Bonsoir Clara restaurant is perfectly sited on Brussels’ hippest street. Need a break from shopping the boutiques? Want a place to meet after visits to the edgy galleries? Or just fancy an evening among a vibrant, arty crowd? Then this smart French brasserie is exactly the place. Entire walls are decorated in patches of brightly-hued stained glass, like a glass tapestry, while the décor generally sports art deco’s uncluttered lines. The seasonally-changing, sophisticated cuisine is highly eclectic, just like the cosmopolitan crowd that gathers there. Try starter of beef carpaccio with tartare of dried and fresh tomatoes, parmesan slices, and mixed salad, main course of aiguillettes of duck with Muscat grapess and confit ginger. Wine list is not as French as you might expect, and mainly affordable.
