Tucked away under the former home of the dukes in the Grand Place is this small but great restaurant. We went for dinner...particularly looking for mussels. We were not disappointed. The place is equivalent to a rathskeller & well fortified with brick beams & walls. We arrived around 6:30 & were seated immediately (Easter Sunday evening) but a half hour... More

The restaurant is located in the basement of a building in the grand square and a great recommendation from a local shopkeeper. The ambience is inviting, the menu very Local and the staff personable and friendly. We had two dishes the mussels in garlic and free range 🍗 chicken. Both the dishes were cooked well, and tasted sublime. Comparatively the... More

Was very pleasantly surprised by the meal here, mainly because I wouldn't usually opt for a restaurant on the main square of a city. Waiter was absolutely great, had a laugh with all of the customers.

Thanks to Rick Steves we found this restarant serving delicious mussels. We ate in the cellar and enjoyed good service and beer and not to mention the outstanding mussels in wine.

We visited late afternoon with friends who knew it was there and recommended it (head downstairs into the cellar not to the fancier bit at the top). Although it was a quieter time of day, there were a few tables busy and the service was good. The beef stew was delicious (melt in the mouth) and the prices reasonable. Would... More

Fantastic food, fantastic service. Slightly pricy but to be expected due to be on the Grand Place. Highly recommend.

For such a touristy place the food quality is very good surprisingly! The mussels and fries were quite enjoyable. Downsides are that it gets loud, that the tables are in a close promiscuity, and that the (kind) service is slow.

We have been there 3 times. The food is very tasty and the prices reasonable if you consider that you are in Grand Place. You should try its carbonate with stoemp and jabono.

I tried their rabbit dish: very tasty, added a good white beer! Amazing service and cute location, right on the main square!
