This restaurant together with a few others under the same owner has been declared bankrupt. I don’t think it’ll reopen.

We were with a group and thereby served in one of the upstairs rooms. Nice traditional decor very close to the grand place. Service OK without anything special. The food was good but also here nothing special apart from that the cod was really fresh...More

Attended a private dining event here and the food was good, not amazing. Staff were professional and were very quiet when serving right through our discussions over dinner - which doesn't happen too often. Great location in a historic building.

We had a galadiner with 70 persons on 2nd level from the restaurant. Very traditionel inside decoration but view of the “ Grand Place” is unique. Finally food and service were good and on a good pace.

What can I say good about this restaurant?. None, I suppose. Let's start with the service. I recommend that all the waiters do a crash course on hospitality. Service is the worst I have experienced. My Italian friend must have requested for some bread (because...More

We had a room on the upper level, with a balcony that had a splendid view of the Grand Place. I very much enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony. The food itself was fine, nothing particularly memorable, but I guess one comes here...More

Overlooking Brussel's Grand Place, La Maison du Cygne has an unique though pricey offer of fine cuisine at a historic location. Definitely more of a business/high society dinner locale, a meal here will be memorable for your guests for the cuisine and the view.

- - We inform you that your restaurant La Maison du Cygne will be closed for an indefinite period. All the team of La Maison du Cygne thanks you for your trust and hope to welcome you very soon again ! - - La Maison du Cygne restaurant in Brussels: grand dining on the Grand Place. When you enter this exquisite 17th century mansion in the heart of Brussels' most famous square, you enter a world of refinement and harmony. The building was once the home of the Butchers Guild and where captains of industry and high-flyers now dine, Karl Marx once drafted his manifesto. That's the sort of surreal fact Belgians delight in. The décor is grande dame traditional, with velvet banquettes, ornate paneling and woodwork, fine art paintings, white napery, fine china and crystal, and lovely views over the square. The carte is haute traditional with innovative nuances, under the creative touch of award-winning chef Donald Loriaux. Dishes include starter of waterzooi de homard, a local soup speciality, main course of tournedos with green peppercorns. The monumental wine cellar sets the standard.
