Samourai is considered by many to be the best Japanese restaurant in Brussels. I don't know about that, but it's for sure a typical place, serving very good, fresh and quality food. The restaurant is located in an uninspiring rundown 'shopping mall' in a downtown street that is undergoing upgrading, and there something old fashioned about the restaurant itself too.... More

We came here for sushi, and were a little surprised that the menu options were fairly limited. The menu is broader Japanese food rather than just sushi, but it was all really good. The service was also excellent. The main issue, as others have said, is that the prices are fairly steep, even for Japanese food. It's still worth visiting... More

The restaurant is managed by Japanese, but the taste is Europeanised. Food is good but not great specially for the high prize of the bill. Count 80euros/pp.

My wife took me here for my bday and I am happy she did! All ingredients in this restaurant come from Japan, so they told us, which is one reason why it is so expensive. Staff too, are mostly Japanese, unlike in most other Japanese restaurants in Europe. We went for the set menu at Eur 75 pp. It was... More

Lovely restaurant, the sushi and sashimi are exceptional, unfortunately so are the prices. The most expensive dining experience I've had in Brussels

I went here after reading about the best Japanese restaurants in town. The service here was never rushed and portions were generous -- yet not enough to "stuff one's face" and make one feel bloated. The restaurant is a bit cramped for some people's tastes. I sat upstairs and had to go up a narrow staircase. However, the quality of... More

I like this place a lot, but I only go there for business lunches; the portions are small so it all becomes a bit pricey in the end. Classic Japanese but with also offer options with a twist (passion fruit sauce). Attentive service, which is rare in Brussels. Location is not the best and you will probably ask yourself if... More

We enjoyed a delicious meal here, but it was a bit pricey. The quality of the ingredients is excellent and decor is simple and calm. We were able to customize our menu which is a lovely surprise.

Quality of dishes is good and well presented, and tasty. But pleasure fades away too quickly because of small portions and very high prices. Example, the pork belly in soja is a favorite but there were just two small mouthfull pieces for around 20 euros. Sakes are good but also very expensive. Funny was that people next to us ordered... Do not go too late. The full menu is exellent but there are so many dishes you end up very late. 100€/person. But all worth it. Great adresse
