If you like mussels, you will love this place. It's very near central train station, easy to find. Prices are reasonable. This restaurant is very popular as you can see many diners coming in and leaving. There are many tables, I didn't have to wait long to be seated and to be served. I had my dinner here for 3... More

A friend called all the way from almost half way around the globe to tell us that we should try Cafe Leon. It was a long walk from the Grand Palace but we did it, and got harassed by those guys who belong to the other restaurants around Cafe Leon. Man, they were persistent! Convincing us to try their places... More

We came here on a recommendation. E had the cheese and prawn croquettes and mushrooms on toast to start to share which was delicious. We then had mussels the cream ones and the Roquefort ones which were a bit more flavoursome. Chips were amazing with mayo. The mussels portions are huge so you could share a portion! Would definitely recommend... More

This is situated in an area packed with restaurants close to the Grand Place so there's a lot of competition nearby. But this really nicely decorated traditional Brussels restaurant has a little something extra about it that makes it stand out. The food is very good and typically Belgian with the classic moules frites (mussels and thin chips) done to... More

Went to this restaurant after Googling for the best mussels in Brussels. Restaurant was kinda cosy with a nice ambience but service was not warm and felt rather abrupt. We waited for more than half an hour for our food (almost 40 mins). Children below 12 had a special menu to be entitled for the free meal but this must... More

Good location, very close to Central Place, with excellent food. The mussel plates are a must, which must be accompanied by fries and beer! We ordered a variety of mussel plates and shared, so we got to taste more dishes and they were all very good. We were very lucky both times we went and found a table, because the... More

Service was great even though they tried to convince me that I should get a bigger plate but I had mussels and fries, the classic dish. When you order that you get a beer and it's a great one.

Chez Leon offers a varied menu satisfying both tourists and locals with everything from pasta to moules frittes. The large restaurant welcomes people all day long, and has plenty of servers ready to help. It feels authentic, and the food is of high quality compared to what else you can find in the small streets of Brussels center. Perfect for... More

As a place well known for their moules frites I wasn't very impressed with my mussels, but I would return just for the amazing Normandy Pancake & the fun we had with our waiter - he was funny & made a special crepe suzette for one of our party who's dessert order ran out.
