Rather small portions for the price, quality of one of the dishes we ordered was awful (coquilles St. Jacques). Actually you get 3 coquilles for 25€. Same for the ravioli: 5 of them for 22€. On top of this, every time the door opens there's cold air running through the place.

Easily accessible with the tram 7 or 25, and is located near to Etterbeek suburb. The place was formerly a prison, it has been transformed beautifully into a cosy elegant restaurant. The menu is not extensive however all the dishes we ordered were simply very well prepared, refined and tasteful. It had been a truly delightful experience. The service is... More

Brussels already has many good Italian restaurants but for those who did not know this one, you can add it to the list. Especially good for the lunch menu which is quick but very well-done although Im asure it is also nice to come to in the evening.

We drove by many times and always tried to remember and book a table. Now we've been invited by friends and had no more excuses :) the place is in a well known area and the location is easily remembered by the tower and castle look of the famous "Delvaux" building. The reception and welcoming is nice and friendly. We... More

Good things first: the reception and service were efficient and friendly throughout the evening, top marks there. The location was also very nice (we sat in the verandah). Alas, food wise the experience was less than perfect. The menu offers a bit for every taste and to be fair, on paper it all looks very harmonious, balanced and thought through... More

Recommended to this restaurant by a colleague and was not disappointed. It is quite an unusual restaurant for Brussels being a modern design set in old building, and the cuisine has an emphasis on fresh and sustainable food. This ambiance was supplemented with very attentive and friendly service. We sat in the conservatory room which had a nice ‘outside’ atmosphere,... More

I have eaten many times at Le Mess and we have always enjoyed that experience. However our last visit was not worth the money we paid. We found the food expensive for what you get and so well cooked as in the past. Spending $300 for 4 people I would expect something decent, we were so disappointed. I don't think... More

We had a lunch for business at Le Mess. We enjoyed a delicious fish dish. Service is quick and place seems a typical place for business lunch but I believe it can be a lovely place for diner with friends and family as well!
