Not sure it is correct to judge a restaurant based on the food served on the "famous" Resto days but I will try to be as honest as possible. We had lunch and everyone gets the same menu, you can't chose your food. The staff was quite nice and attentive, but we were not impressed by the food. The best... More

San Daniele is located in Ganshoren, in the proximity of the Koekelberg Basilica. From the outside, the restaurant looks nothing special, and unfortunately, the same feeling prevails when entering the restaurant. It's a refurbished home, with design touches from the late 90's. Nothing new, nothing fancy. The welcome was friendly, correct and multilingual: Dutch, French, English and of course Italian.... More

My husband and I used to go to this restaurant once a year regularly while living in Brussels. The place made us feel like we were eating in Italy; the food is fresh and extremely tasty; the service is warm, friendly and professional. We usually had the gastronomic menu for 2 which serves small portions of the specialities of the... More

Five hundred euros for 2 aperitifs, two 0.5l bottles of water, 4 starters, 4 main dishes. and 8 glasses of wine! Admittedly we chose dishes with truffles, but nevertheless, this was bordering on daylight robbery. The room was on the chilly side for the first hour or so. The Maitre d' seemed to lose interest when he realised we were... More

I've been many times over the past 6 years and the standard is always the same. Their bar de ligne is simply a dream!

I have been going to this restaurant since many years (1-2 times a year), and it is still the same as in the beginning. It was and is still good without any doubt. The use of high quality ingredients is essential, and makes the meal tasty and very enjoyable. But I don't see any evolution, progress, in the menu, decoration,... More

I've visited this restaurant about 20 times now, and everytime I'm still surprised by the quality of this Italian pearl. Always very friendly owners/staff who receives and serves you, food of an excellent quality, superb wincard, .... This restaurant is his Michelin star more than worth. I know, it's a little bit pricey, but it's worth his last eurocent... TOP

The location is unimposing, and even the restaurant is not overwhelming, but it is quite nice and tasteful. The service is outstanding, with the proprietor giving personal service and attention. If you have the degustation menu, as I did, and if you happen to be there during truffle season, you'll have multiple dishes with fresh truffles and you'll be in... More

We were there in the occasion of Resto-Days in Brussels that all fine restaurants offer a menu on 50% of the price, so we took the resto-days menu of beef carpaccio, followed by salmon carpaccio and as main dish a pasta with sea food and fish. There is no question that San Daniele is a Haute Cuisine resto. The way... More

but does it deserve a Michelin star (and the prices that go with it) ? Maybe not... yet we had a great evening, service was attentive and "child friendly" and the food was really good. A special note for the "ravioles d'ananas with home made blood orange sorbet" which ended the meal in pure delight.

Description
The San Daniele restaurant in Brussels owes its name to the famous and traditional ham from San Daniele, a small village in Northeast Italy in the Friuli region between the Alps and the Adriatic.

In this way the "San Daniele" Family wishes to underline the respect for the purest Italian culinary traditions that make its reputation.

One son in the kitchen, one son in the cellar and the father in the dining room. This could be the simplistic picture of this transalpine establishment, nestled behind Koekelberg Cathedral.
The simply elegant decor has been attractively updated, which only adds to the warm atmosphere of the restaurant, which has long held a place at the summit of Italian fine-dining.

The chef uses high quality products in his dishes, which perpetuate the great Italian tradition, although French extravagancies are sometimes on the menu.
Italian vintages have pride of place in the wine cellar.

The Restaurant San Daniele, places at your disposal, its lounge and private dining room (to the 1st floor), adaptable to your needs. Perfect for all your private meals or business meetings. Available for 2 to 12 people., In complete tranquility. Discretion guaranteed. Information and booking by phone only
