We were completely conned by the menu board outside which advertised mussels and steaks for 10 Euro. I was brought a huge bowl of mussels which I could not eat as there were far too many and I had to leave approximately half the portion I was served. We were shocked when we were given the bill which came to... More

We too were enticed in to the restaurant by an offer of free beer by the waitress at the entrance of the restaurant. We should have known something was wrong by the lack of patrons but the offer of the free beer lured us in. Here is how the scam works: The restaurant has a sign that advertises prices for... More

We were enticed into this place by a grumpy looking waitress who was pointing to a board at the front showing what seemed to be extremely reasonable prices. We sat down and ordered our beers and then were given a menu with prices double what was on the board. When we brought this up with the waitress she said that... More

A miserable waitress tempted us in by pointing out a 10 Euro menu which was fine as we were on a budget. After bringing drinks and rolls the real menu came out with prices at least twice the price and up to 55 Euros. We thought the whole street probably had the same scam so stuck with it. Food was... 18€ was the offer on the board and the lady was desperate to get us in so she offered a free drink. So we went for it! Meanwhile, having used the facilities, she had put away the 18€ board and only showed us the specials board. We didn't notice. The beer was watered down and the food wasn't brilliant. Then... More

I just can't say enough to warn you away from here. There where four of us who had very basic food and it cost €150. They are very pushy and offer a free bottle of wine. I ordered a fillet steak and I swear I got horse or something it was not fillet anyway. My wife got food poisoning from... More

Wish we had read the reviews before we got pulled in. Pretty bad. Brought wrong food out, we did get a free beer and were seated close to the fire on a cold wet day, but that's the best I can really say about it. Avoid!

Not orange, but white, smell like one week old dead fish, no tasty, it was 100% spoiled. Chew and waiter was one person. Doormen spoke english and... More

When you walk in this neighborhood you are bombarded by restaurant hosts persuading you to eat at their establishment. The host at Au Boeuf was funny, sweet, and charming so we decided to give it a chance. We were given two free drinks which was very nice. It was some sort of rose wine (bleh) but! It was free so... We dined at this restaurant as we were persuaded by the owner of this restaurant when we walked into Rue Des Bouchers (a street filled with restaurant). The owner has a brilliant humour which we really appreciate so we decided to dine there. During the meal though we were very worried because I read some terrible reviews on trip advisor... More
