This morning me and my friends had not a pleasant experience in this place. After waiting for 45 min to be seated, the waiter told us we could not order anything from the breakfast or brunch menu, because the kitchen was too busy (it was around 1 pm).. but surprisingly one of the "tartines" (some kind of sandwiches with some... The scrambled egg with mushrooms was flavorful enough, but was not very warm and, if you discount the bread, not very substantial. The space is quite small, the coffee ok: the buffet breakfast at the hotel was better value all round.

Our visit started with a warm welcome by the waitress, who organized (as we prefered) two seats outside for us in the crowded cafe. Since the cafe ran out of the tartlets we ordered, the waitress gave us a very nice overview of the remaining tartlets. Food and drinks were nice, service attentive and the facilities clean. Prices not that... More

Great organic bread and dishes, excellent coffee, great service, very cosy design (like all Pain quotidien bakeries) and great location with cosy terrace, excellent for people watching.

We had very nice breakfast at the place, though it is expensive but definitely worth the quality. Moreover, I do think Le Pain Quotidien serves the best bread in Leuven.

After trying out this place a few times last summer, I have now decided to stop going there because of the poor service.

One of the best brunch and pastry shop in Leuven. Home made products, with great assortiment. Their Breakfast (a very nice brunch) is a must in town: the restaurant is very crowded in the weekend because of this. Pastry products to take away need also your attention.

It's almost becoming the Mc Donalds of breakfast. Lousy waterly espresso for almost 4 € and a cold bowl of cereals completed the visit. Is there light at the end of the tunnel? The service is lovely!

Whether we are the Mc Do of breakfast is of course a qualification I must leave for Mr hvdmeeberg, but just for the record : an espresso is 2,50 € (and not 4 € as mentioned in the review); we immediately served Mr hvdmeeberg another, stronger espresso as soon as he expressed his complaints; and last but not least :... Tried this place for both breakfast and lunch and it really is great. It has a wider variety of cakes and pastries, and gorgeous bread. I highly recommend the breakfast parfait which was packed with fresh fruit, yoghurt, and granola.
