One of the issues we faced in Bruges was how often the staff of restaurants and other facilities were not either well enough trained or enough of them. Here, the waiter/proprietor was attentive enough but in a restaurant that was not full he had too many covers. What he did however was intelligent. Having got us drinks, he eventually found... More

were not met in full here. Decent food but tad old fashioned and its' presentation could be perfected. Scampis Pieter Pourbus were tasty, croquets somewhat bland ... followed by grilled rib of beef on the bone with béarnaise sauce. Actually the main was well executed and highlight of the evening. Their house red wine - good quality and value for... More

We were recommended this restaurant by the hotel reception (Hotel Navarra) as it was just a 5 minute walk away and outside of the noisy central area. The food was excellent. We had the House apperative and that was the start of an excellent meal. Can be expensive if not carefull, but then good food and service costs!

Bruges gets lots of tourists. At Pieter Pourbus, the clients are often locals with only a few tourists. It is a classic white brick building with numerals indicating it was built in 1561. The cuisine is Flemish with an emphasis on local dishes including seafood. On list Sunday lunch, we started with the shrimp croquettes and the tomato with gray... More

A beautiful restaurant. They had not over booked so there was plenty of space. The food was superb. Well worth the money ( it's not cheap). All round a lovely way to spend Christmas Eve in Europe 👍👍👍👍👍

My boyfriend and I had lunch here when we were in Bruges in November. We tried to book a table for dinner on the Saturday night but the restaurant was fully booked. Fortunately they could accommodate us for lunch on the Sunday instead. We were both very pleased that we persevered. The food was fantastic. We had the scampi Pieter... More

Cosy restaurant with some of the best personal service we have encountered anywhere - friendly, professional and discreet. Food was excellent, and some decent beer to accompany it. We went back the next night, and we will be straight back the next time we're in town!

We ate here the other day and found the welcome, service and food to be excellent. You should book to avoid disappointment as it was very busy even on a Monday night at 7pm. An extensive menu is on offer with plenty to tempt you with some regional variations which are worth exploring.

We dined with a group of six and all of us enjoyed our food and had a great time. It is a small and cozy restaurant with a very nice service. We had different kinds of fish and all were cooked to perfection. I would recommend sole with Pieter Pourbus sauce. Also the scampi w/ garlic butter was delicious. Do... More
