1 block from Casselbergh Hotel. Walked in without reservation and were quickly seated in last available table. Food was excellent - pigeon & lemon sole. Best lemon sole I ever had. Chef was accessible, visiting tables during the meal. He used to cook in NYC and we had common connections. Asked where we were headed next and gave us restaurant... More

This is truly a wonderful small restaurant but with a very high level cousine. If you are a gourmet like me, you will definitely NOT regret to pay a visit to this restaurant. The only problem is thst the tables are too close to each ither and there is little privacy.

It was one of the cooks of restaurant Tête Pressée who advised me to visit this restaurant and a few hundred meters from the Grand Market. Excellent interior, wonderful service, the food a real delight, marvellous choose in drinks. The cook was graduated at De Groene Poort cookschool and worked for example at El Bulli before starting this marvellous restaurant.

I made it only the day before so there does not appear to be a waiting list. Always a good thing for me as a traveller. The decor was tasteful. The... More

We enjoyed especially the ideal temperature of the excellent french champagne, and the softness of the spanish Rioja tempranillo, the raw fish with mixed vegetables was outstanding, the fresh sea-wolf was prepared with fine herbs, and the dessert with chocolate,, ananas-plant and orange... We dined at Lieven during lunchtime. We chose the restaurant after it was recommended in the Michelin Guide. During lunch you have a choice of a set one or two course menu or you can choice directly off the menu. One of us choose the two course set menu and the other off the menu. The set menu that day...
