Avoid it! Rude and arrogant owner/manager with a volatile temper. Unbelievably negative attitude. Just don't. Simply not worth the abuse!

This one nearly got off to a false start with the dry Belgium humour nearly putting us off. But when we sat down they were very friendly and helpful. Lunch was a set menu of three courses inclusive of wine and coffee ar €30 per person. Very tasty and well cooked.

Bruges on weekends is very crowded with tourists, so it was great to find this friendly small bistro a little away from the main streets. There was a set menu for lunch, two choices for starters (serrano ham and tuna tartare with wasabi cream) and for mains (fish or quail). We had one of each and they were all great.... More

We fell in to this lovely cafe on the square on a sunny, Sunday afternoon recently. I saw they had mussels and my mouth watered. Our waiter was more than willing to help me decide which preparation I would prefer, patiently and thoroughly explaining each. I decided to go with the 'natural'. OMG! What a treat I ate the entire... More

I have lived in London for several years now but was born and raised in Bruges. This lovely little restaurant has always been one of my favourites and a visit home would not be complete without a meal here. It's been around for nearly 15 years and a local favourite run by the 2 owners as a front of house... More

We visited the restaurant with our visiting UK friends. It was our second visit to the restaurant. Just as last year, the establishment did not disappoint. The menu on offering was varied and affordable. The food itself was excellent. The service of the owner-staff was impeccable and very personable. The place is quiet and pleasant. This restaurant will be on... More

This was our first restaurant on our vistit and was recommended by the hotel staff. My wife and I normally struggle of the first night with a lack of knowledge of the area or just back luck. This time however we were very happy with the recommendation. The restaurant itself was small, friendly and very welcoming. Due to its size... More

Bistro De Eetkamer was recommended to us by our hotel and we were not disappointed. The menu and wine list was small but outstanding and yet we still found it difficult to choose, but the fish and wild boar were fantastically cooked and prepared. The restaurant was very busy and service was a little slow but the waiter worked hard... More

We were looking for somewhere to have a special Saturday lunch and we weren't disappointed! We both had the lunch menu which included an aperitif with fizz and two glasses of wine with the meal. Oddly, both of the courses were fish, but the food was so well presented in a simple but attractive way, that you didn't mind. Delicious... More
