It’s hard to describe how good this place is. I have eaten what are considered some of the best restaurants in the world and Hertog Jan tasting menu is the best I have ever had. Go before it’s too late. It closes at the end...More

Attended to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday and they did not disappoint. Although a bit further away from the town centre, only a 20 minute car journey. The location is stunning and Im sure in the summer - probably even better. The food was a...More

How enjoyable dining experience. Everything. Great service from the around 6 friendly, educated, multilingual, younger servers. 10 courses. All paired with different spirits. In crescendo, from champagne and blancs to portentous reds for the fawn’s red meat. Precise, delicate, flavorful, creative, daring dishes. All of...More

This place was spectacular- incredible, creative cuisine - with dishes like “la vie en Rose” which was succulent lobster topped with shaved beets sculpted into a Rose. Super friendly staff - and they let us tour the kitchen! Dinner of a lifetime!

Great eye for detail, young and dynamic atmosphere, and fantastic food. The owner works closely together with the employees and anticipates to the needs of the client. It’s a real food temple which you must have visited at least once in a lifetime :)

The restaurant was exceptional. We were still a little bit disappointed because after we visited all the other three Michelin stars restaurants in Belgium we expected a little bit more. What we missed here was the exceptional organization we found on the other two restaurants....More

The food is very good and beautifully presented, the only remark I had is that some consecutive dishes had the same ingredients, e.g. the caviar sushi with eel mousse and right after that the smoked eel; the same for the potatoes appearing in two dishes....More

I have only been to a few 3 star restaurants but will comment for what it is worth. I’ve only been once to Herron Jan, and in winter, which I think is sub-optimal. I’d say it is average for three stars, which of course is a... More
