It's a comfortable, friendly family-run restaurant that specializes in local seafood dishes. The staff was super-friendly, the kids help out sometimes. I had Dover sole, it was excellent, the real thing for once. The menu is not pretentious, just simple but delicious food done in traditional local style. Highly recommended.

Certainly you should eat fish in a fish restaurant specialized mainly in fish dishes, but not everybody likes fish. And since other dishes are on the menu, the cook should at least manage to prepare them... But he obviously he does not. The only vegetarian dish on the menu (not even something exciting) was not available on the evening of... More

I tried Adelientje without knowing anything about it just because nearly every other restaurant along busy Bonenstraat seemed entirely given over to - ahem - family dining. But the rather older clients of this sea food specialist are clearly on to something. Classic fish dishes, simply but superbly prepared and presented, plus good but not showy service. I ordered kabeljauw... More

We had our first dinner here more than 20 years ago and it is still the same restaurant (different owner though). Comfy, nice, as good in winter as in summer (I love this place when it is storming outside), and tradtional but perfectly made fish. If you like skate try the Rog à la façon de Grenoble (with shrimps), absolutely... More

You know what to expect here: no fancy dishes, no trendy interior, average age over 50, but also great classic dishes (sole meuniere, shrimp croquettes,...), good wine and great service which results in a great dining experience. What they do, they do it well. But know what to expect.

Interiour a bit old fashioned and service sometimes slow, but fish prepared as it should, coming in large portions. Menu is limited but fresh and prepared with a lot of 'metier', if you like sole, skate, cod, place to be.

I came back here after 4 years, because I had had a good experience then. This time I was a little disappointed. The fish was fresh, but the dish was blend and lacked flavour. The French fries were soft. They prepared the wrong dish for my colleague. Although they did offer to rectify the error, that would mean that one... More

Adelientje has been a permanent fixture on this small square: it serves simple food, mostly fish. However, it hasn't moved on with the times and hasn't moved on with expectations of customers either. We went in for lunch and wanted some mussels and fries: an easy and quick dish, which is hard to get wrong. Alas, after a 50 minute... More
