We had lunch meal was nice but have had better at other restaurants, the food was well cooked and nicely presented I felt the waiter was a tad ticked off with us as we refused the bread, olives carrots and sardine pate he appeared to take offence to this, some people think this is complimentary but sadly you do have... We had a table of 9 eat here and the food was very poor. The soups we had as a starter were too salty and luke warm at best. My friend ordered cordon bleu and when she tried to cut into it there was a cocktail stick completely hidden from view through the middle of it. This was really dangerous... More

Came for an evening meal with my partner. I ordered the house special, king prawns, chicken, beef & pork. I went to take a bite into my chicken and to my horror it was raw. I informed the waiter who then asked me to put the meat back onto the skewer, I declined and asked him to take it away.... More

We ate here one evening and had the piri piri chicken and lamb chops. Both were fantastic and were good size portions. The restauarant was very busy and had a lovely atmosphere.

Merely days after reopening we stopped here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both days, the food was excellent, as was the service. The place is popular with locals, who tend to avoid the mainstream restaurants at the square or those facing the beach.

Well worth a try... Have a traditional fayre.. During afternoon have a specials board... Several meals from €5 including sardines. As very busy you may have to wait however worth it. Better than some of the establishments in the square.. Always worth while going for a wander!

As one of the best local eaateries in the old town it is a great blow that it has closed until approx March for a refurb & extension into the old linnen shop next door, passers by will have noted that the 2 premises have been totally gutted back to bare walls so the refurb will be extensive, hopefully the... This restaurant offers a very good choice or traditional Portugese food at a reasonable price but I suggest that as well as the menu you also checkout the specials board, The Fish mixed grill is a great choice if you are ok with fish served on the bone and Pork Portugese style is also recommended, with drinks I recommend the...
