This restaurant specializes in fish dishes. In the menu there are at least 20 fish dishes while the number of meat dishes is less than 5. We had booked a table for dinner at 7.00 p.m. On entering the restaurant we were made to feel very welcome. Throughout our dinner the service was excellent, very friendly and relaxed. Even the... This is a place which is hard to find, its up behind the Tivoli. It is a portugese restaurant which specialises in fish.Do not expect linen tablecloths & huge menus, what you get is perfectly cooked fish (order sardines & they just keep coming).Fish potatoes salad carafe of wine perfect!.No need to dress for dinner.

If you want to experience a real Portuguese restaurant visit this place. It's not fancy but the grilled Dourada was delicious. The service very attentive. And what we really liked was the small surprise from the kitchen. A small starter fried fish with oil and onions...yummm ;) Try it out...

The establishment would be difficult to find for a military drone but well worth the effort. Phillip is a character chef with immense culinary skills. What he can't do with a fish isn't worth doing. The actual premises belies how really good it is as a restaurant, don't pre-judge. It's one on those hidden gems. Just let him serve you... More

Great restaurant but be prepared to wait as the pace is not exactly swift. We didn't mind however as we were not in a hurry and were happy to sit with our carafe of wine and watch the world go by. After some bread and olives we were taken over to the chilled display to choose our fish and it... More

Went for dinner last night with some trepidation as the last review said the service was terrible. Wondered if it had changed hands since the review that said "best sardines ever". I needn't have worried, we were seated immediately with an aperitif, might gave been port, given menus and order taken immediately. We both opted for the sardines, bread and... More

We have visited this restaurant many times over the past years but never again. My wife and I went on Wednesday 14th Sept ,we arrived walked into the main area and stood there for a good 5 minutes whilst the staff walked around and past us with no attention to us.The restaurant was not busy either outside or inside. Eventually a... More

The grilled fish was exceptional. One of our group had the all you can eat sardines, she loved them. I had the grilled tuna which was also very good. Another of our group had the swordfish. Everyone was happy with their selections. The service was friendly if somewhat amusing. Even though there were people waiting to get in, they were... More
