Nothing much to criticise here. The food came out in good time and we all enjoyed it. One spaghetti dish, one chicken and two burger dishes. The waiter was particularly polite and I can't fault the service. Some reviews say there are better places to eat and they are probably right but our experience was a good one.

... I thought that the days when waiters in Italian restaurants felt it O.K, to be rude and off-hand with customers had long gone. It seems the message has not got through to the guys in DG yet - hopefully it will soon. The food wasn't that great either. My penne salmon was passable, just, My wife had spaghetti tuna... More

You get OK food so nothing wrong, but for us it was a typical chain style service. Nothing special, also on the menu to real signature dish or so.

Very good restaurant with focus on small details...the tomato soup was super great! Also tried pizza and angus burger! Loved it!

On Sunday many restaurants are closed so we ended up at Giovanni. Waiter was very slow and the food was expensive for the amount you get. Wine is also expensive but nice quality. Soup seems from package and salad was simple

We had just arrived in Lagos without a booking and although there was plenty of space, the attitude was something unusual. After sitting around for 15 mins without any acknowledgement, we decided to up and leave. We later found out that Benfica were playing and the staff were mainly following the game instead if the customers..... Shame because we had... More

We took a starter, a pizza and a pasta. All were tasty and the 'size' was more than ok. Staff was friendly, prices fair, well located right in one of the main pedestrian streets of the wonderful city of Lagos. The only reason why I don't score it a 5 is the menu as the number of options for pizzas... More

I really wanted thin crust pizza in Portugal as I find good ones hard to find back home. You don't need a lot of ingredients to make something taste good. I'm glad we shared one (4 delightful slices each) instead of ordering one myself. People watch and linger with green wine as the service is a little slow.

Walked in on spec and we're seated at the back of the restaurant with its interesting high ceiling and arty wood work on the walls. The decor has had some thought pit into it. Food was good though - bread and olives to kick off with some really nice stuffed peppers, then tempura prawns for starter and a main of... More

This is the Giovanni I like! After trying several concepts between, Don Giovanni is the same with partly new menu as it started.
