While staying a few days in Ribeira Quente, (a small fishing village), we ate here a couple of times. This is the main restaurant in this very small town, so it's usually very busy therefore reservations are a must. This rustic restaurant has a covered terrace with long wooden tables and benches. Seafood was very fresh. The appetizers (Lapas, octopus,... More

A very good seafood restaurant. The fish is done perfectly. Very nice atmosphere. If you stay in furnas, it's a 10 minutes drive, but much better than any restaurant you'll find in furnas. If you take the fish, make sure you ask for it medium or rare, because we didn't once, and they brought it well done... Also some of... More

The meal at this restaurant is a complete journey into the world of pleasures. It begins with the journey itself, to the restaurant, which takes us through breathtaking landscapes, ending in this very rustic and charming space. The service is of an extreme kindness. The food is excellent, and judging by the delicious fish served to me (daffodil) I strongly... More

we visited in october 2016 based on referrals on trip advisor. the restaurant is not on the way to anywhere.. but worth the detour. this was the best food we had on our entire trip, although a bit more expensive than the general cheap prices in the azores.. was well worth it. we went back the following nite because it... You will only find this restaurant if you have an adventurous spirit and a curious mind, because Ribeira Quente is a small fishing port on the southeast side of the island, and to get there you have to make quite a ride. But let me tell that this ride is going to be worth your while! In Ribeira Quente you... More

This place is old school. It sits in building that is covered and open to the outside. The wine is very good, ask for a wine from Pico. Anearby winery on another Azorean island that is world famous. The price is very reasonable. The appetizers are a lot of home made bread, local olives and olive oil, amazing. The resterant... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our local hotel concierge in Povacao. Just a short drive and very happy we did. The knowledge our host showed about the many different fish varieties was appreciated. The meal was excellent. The ambiance and decor was elegantly rustic. We were very pleased.

We had some of your typical Azorean dishes here: lapas (limpits... tasty but tough), cracas (don't know translation but stunning!) and Boca Negra fish (I believe endemic to those waters). The limpits were forgettable, but to no fault of the restaurant: we've had them elsewhere and always tough... The Boca Negra was OK, but slightly over-grilled. The cracas were truly... More

Good food and good service. We had blood sausage with pineapple and octopus. Heavy food but delicious. The decoration is nice for the setting and it seems that they take advantage of the local fish. We would like to repeat and try some fishes...

We had a late lunch and were lucky to get a table - but the place gets busy so it may be a good idea to reserve in advance. We tried the grelhada - a plate of mixed grilled Atlantic fish. The fish were absolutely delicious (best we've had on the island) and the potatoes cooked to perfection. You can... More
