We showed up without a reservation (Note... make a reservation) and the owner greeted us and invited us to come back about 45 minutes later and I am SO glad we did. The food was AMAZING! All of it. We started with a salad and had the steak for our main course. It was cooked just right. It was so... More

One has ot admire the chef/patron, he does EVERYTHING. Meet n greet, waiter/sommelier/chef the lot. And he commits your orders to memory! Amazing. The food is more interesting and more sophiticated than neighbouring restaurants; but it didn't quite hit the mark for us. Distribution of food and drinks was fine; but clearing away empties and dishes was almost non-existant and... More

This one man show is the real deal: host, chef, server, etc... The food was a tad over salted; otherwise, very delicious. You'll need a reservation. My girlfriend had the crispy octopus. I had the chef's steak. We also had a bottle of white wine. As mentioned, the food was amazing, and worthy of the accolades that it's received. The... More

It's a small and dark restaurant operated only by one guy who does everything. Relaxed atmosphere, good food (had the polvo). Give it a try

The most amazing part of the restaurant is the fact that the owner is also the chef, the waiter, the server, the cleaner and whatever else which is needed in the restaurant! Surprisingly the food was deliciously good and quick service!

The cook is the waiter and he is just so passionate about his dishes. It is a joy to watch and hear him. Everything is super fresh and lovely. The fish pastry was tje best dish I ate in months. The tuna is wonderful too.

If you want to try seafood in azores, try it here! Honey tuna and crispy octopus are the best you can find from this island. If I ever win in lottery, I will fly to azores just to eat octopus made by this man..

Very nice central location and atmosphere in this place. Soft jazz music playing in the background, semi obscure intimate lighting sets the mood right for very nice quality food. One of the best grilled octopus meals I ever had, paired with the right recommended wine. I don't know how the owner/chef/waiter does it to split himself for so many duties... More
