Firstly, this is not a full menu restaurant. It is a tapas and wine bar style. and it does this superbly well. Service is very personal and helpful - the ambiance is very relaxing. Food is thoughtfully prepared and presented and the wine list extensive. The restaurant is not easy to find, but we recommend perseverance ... you won't be... More

Our tour guide recommended this restaurant for tapas, and we we called and were able to get a table when they opened. However, google maps directed us to an entirely different restaurant Robertos or something. We went into the Tourist Bureau to ask for assistance, and they told us it was closed. I said, no, I just called and I... More

We found this restaurant via Tripadvisor. When we went there, we couldnt find it, its a hidden pearl :D When coming in, its a small dark place with a great special atmosphere. There only about 8 tables, and you instantly feel special. We ordered the cheese a meat platter, but the gentleman told us its too much for 2 people.... More

My wife and I had a meal here and it was lovely. The decor was great, the service was warm and attentive and the food was very good. They have a fantastic wine selection and a knowledgable staff. My only negative comment is that there were too many strong flavours on one plate. I believe that strong flavours need a... More

The outside of this restaurant doesn't look like much. But inside you will find a charming small room boasting 7 tables and walls lined with wine bottles. The owner comes from a wine-making family and is quite knowledgeable about wine. The tapas is great. And the bread is the best we found on the island. We like the experience so... More

Really cool, very pleasant low light wine and tapas bar. The wines take centre stage and there is a very wide selection, mostly Portuguese, all at very reasonable prices - you get a good bottle for €15 to €20. The tapas is more limited (this isn't Barcelona or Seville) - but you will not leave hungry. There were three of... More

We went during low season and had no problem getting at table at 8:30. We ordered the Reserva platter for 20 euros which had a small sampling of all cheese, sliced meat and sausages. We also order the small basket of assorted bread. This was enough food for too people. It was a great assortment of Portuguese tapas food -... More

Due to our visit to the island being out of season and this restaurant being reasonably tucked away, we turned out to be the only customers! It's a wine shop, that serves tapas! It was beautiful, welcoming and the food was brilliant. There's a bit of theatre about ordering a wine or port, with the waiter bringing over a side... More

The menu is fantastic ... tapas and wine ! Delicious bread. Very friendly service with great recommendations for wine. I loved the roasted tomatoes with honey which they recommended for me and even gave me the recipe ! I tried the pata negra for the first time and it was just slightly salty with a silky texture ... worth a... More
