This is my favourite restaurant in Coimbra. I discovered it thank to a old Portuguese couple and now I use to go there every time I want eat something good, fresh and homemade. It's specialized on grilled fish and meat. It looks like an unassuming place, but it's very clean and they serve only fresh dishes. At last but not... More

Pretty average meal at reasonable prices. Service was pleasant. The restaurant was not as clean as I would have liked. Wine was very reasonably priced.

This restaurant which is located in the old town provides good food at very reasonable price. It may not be easy to find and it may not look appealing. We still went there for dinner and the food was perfectly OK. There were also other tourists there. The sweets were especially good

I have been to this restaurant quite a few times, it is the best place in Coimbra to get good, simple grilled food, both meat and fish. Nice, bustling atmosphere and good value for money.

This is a marvellous establishment. Great service. Great atmosphere and good food. It get amazingly busy. I ate at one other place in Coimbra. Can't recall its name but comparing value for money this place wins hands down.

Grilled meats and fish, not fancy, but hearty. Part of the show is the bustle of the staff. Inexpensive wines. Service helpful, but brisk. Desserts rather commercial, off a picture menu. Go elsewhere if you want sweets after the meal.

We were told that this was one of the finer typical Portuguese eateries in Coimbra, so hunted the narrow lanes of the Old City until we finally found this cramped establishment. For starters, we chose the iconic Sardinhas, which were suitably grilled, accompanied by a well-chilled house vinho branco. We followed these with a grilled Bacalhau (Cod) and a platter of... More

Great food at a good price. The aroma from the barbecues as you walk along the street is a good draw card. You can select from the menu or choose your meat from the display cabinet. The staff speak English so it is not a problem that the menu is in Portuguese. Service is efficient and with a smile.
