We stayed 3 nights, and found this funky, older hotel to be charming. Marta at reception was very helpful with directions, dinner reservations, maps... European style breakfast was included...sliced ham, cheese, yogurt, cereals, cappuccino machine, juice...everything you need. The view from the breakfast area was amazing. The view from our room was well worth the extra fee for sea-view. Unfortunately... More

The food and the service were awful! The restaurant looks old and there is a spooky atmosphere. No smile and you almost had to force them to serve you a dessert. The duck tasted like it waited already a long long long time to be served (if it was duck) and the fish plate was more like a disgusting fishy... More

Nice hotel, you can go there to stay some nights but why not go there for a drink, lunch or dinner after being at Guincho beach?

As a local, we used to come here frequently some 23yrs ago. We thought it was dated then! 23yrs on, its still dated and in even more need of refurbishment than ever. We came here to "trip down memory lane", but whatever memories there were, tonights experience killed them all!! Service was very good, excellent staff, but our meal was... More

We had a fabulous lunch - monkfish and cod were to die for! We are from east coast (other side of the Atlantic) where fish is fresh and amazing so hear me when I say - the fish is incredible! Service was typical Portugese so don't expect loads of attentiveness but they were great even with our special requests. Try... More

This hotel is very very dated, and certainly is not up to 4 star standard. I found it had the appearance that it might have been nice when first opened or nice 20 years ago, but it does not appear to have been updated in a long time. There was an unpleasant smell in the hotel. It is ideally located... More

The freshness of the Lobster prepared and cooked "Muchaxo Style", followed by a superb Partridge "Muchaxo Style" almost imposes me to suggest you to order whatever you may desire, but always "Muchaxo Style" !...

I highly recommend this place! A perfect place when you need some time for silent, read, good food, good wine, some nautical activities...all in one expression: perfect holiday!
