Nearing the end of a three-week tour of Spain and Portugal, our wonderful guide Elena brought the group to Casa do Alentejo, about four blocks from Rossio Square. From the street, I’d never have known that this was a restaurant. Entering through a spectacular courtyard...More

Visited the tavern for some tapas and wine. Pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and good food. You know you will never be disappointed when you visit a place filled with locals. Thank you Paola and Miguel for a memorable evening :)

The small bar at Casa do Alentejo in Lisbon is a great place to enjoy a little meal along with a little (or a lot) of wine. My wife and I had a very pleasant evening here. No reservations required...we just walked right in.

You would never expect it from the outside but the inside has some beautiful and mesmerizing Neo-renaissance architecture from the late 17th century.

Although not far from Rossio Square it's a hidden gem unless you know it's there! Dined in the main restaurant. Tables are a little too close for my liking but the food was good & very reasonably priced. Very popular as it was full &...More
