Amazing fish and very friendly and helpful staff, but the vegetables were really over cooked and very bland

We had a big (>2 kgs) grouper for 4 that I chose from the fish stand. Looked very fresh and was grilled to perfection. The only side dish were boiled potatoes, good but very few of them (2 per person, and not big ones either)....we had also a dose of veggies...again good but quite small. Service is friendly. Prices are within expectations for true fish, meaning wild. Only "complaint": they area bit stingy on the side dishesMore

As one can imagine by the name, fish is the core element of this eatery. This is one of these restaurants where fish is displayed to the clients to choose and have it cooked right then. So, your experience depends a lot on what you´ve...chosen, and I guess it has to be difficult to give a general opinion. In my case, what I ordered was good indeed, but unexceptional. The restaurant was crowded that day, being most clients locals with a few foreigners here and there, so it looks as if Senhor Peixe is quite popular a restaurant in Lisbon. Most dishes don´t have a fixed price, they are priced according to weight. Being the prices a bit expensive, I found the service quite friendly and the facilities quite clean.More

great location and very good fresh seafood, picked and cooked as requested, the prawns and calamari were first class. We had a big table and service at the table was a bit hit and miss, but the food was lovely though it is not cheap

This is a seafood restaurant serving fresh grilled fare at a great location. Pick your food and they will grill it for you. Goes well with chilled beer or wine. Book before you go.

This place was recommended to us by a taxi driver. Wish I could take that tip back. Lovely location right beside the harbor. Lovely fresh fish counter to tempt us inside. But then. Food arrived suspiciously quickly. My octopus was delicious. But my wife’s codfish...arrived nicely seared on the outside. But stone cold on the inside. Was it cooked from frozen I wonder ??? Plus when we sent it back it had clearly been microwaved. But the kitchen staff did not have the nous to also microwave the accompanying potatoes. Which arrived. Stone. Cold. With the warmed up Cod. Ridiculous.More

Fish assortment is very nice. But... inside the airco shills you down to same temperature as the fish. Lighting is like a soccer stadium. Wine selection was ok! And onion onion onion on everything.

I was there first at EXPO 98, some years before i moved to Lisbon, To make it short, after i moved to Lisbon, for me and my partner and for our business clients it was the best fish restaurant in Lisbon...(we have been there very just...alone, we live just 5 min away, us two, but also with big groups and /or business partners) , but at the end, what happened today ( and the last 2 or 3 times we have been there) is the same which happens often when a restaurant is getting fancy, or well know, or if there are enough tourist to pay the bill. The service was ok (some of them more then ok, so nothing against the service), but its easy to see: the quality of the fish was perfect 20 years ago, it was perfect 10 years ago, but now...i don't want to use t f-word, but my very personal opinion is, go to Setubal (just 30 to 40 min by car) and see the difference. My linguado (sole) was dry, and unfortunately not for the first time. That was the reason not to go there for more or lees half a year. And as we have been there again, i decide today, thats it. Like a divorce, time to get separated.More

Went to this restaurant on the day of the final of the Eurovision song contest so a busy period which would attract business. Well this restaurant was more interested to close and therefore rushed us to eat. How? bringing the blind down, clearing everything and...three waiters standing around us without a smile. It is a shame as we liked the food we ordered. It was difficult to understand the system as they assumed we knew what to do. It was rather awkward as we felt that we upset them (face and body language). Utterly lacking 360 vision. This has restricted our food order and enjoyment. Thank god that the bill was not too high. Still I complained about the pressure of being unwelcome and one waiter apologise but the other waiter looked at us unhappy. I would not recommend this place for the service as they just want your money and push you out!More
