Four of us visited picking the place more or less at random and trying to avoid the countless people accosting in the street trying to solicit business for lots of very ordinary restaurants. We weren't disappointed with Concha d'Ouro. We had a lovely meal. Food quality was excellent and portion sizes generous. The restaurant was reasonably full with what seemed... More

We ordered the Monkfish, seafood rich and roast chicken to share and the dishes were all excellent. Portions are quite large and it's good value for money. Staff are professional and the decor is clean and charming in an old fashion sort of way, but the restaurant was a bit quiet, so lacked ambiance. But I would recommend this restaurant... More

I was a little worried about eating here after seeing the mixed reviews but it was raining heavily and we didn't want to go far - this looked like the best of the touristy restaurants on rua Augusta. I had monkfish and prawn rice which was delicious. The wine was not particularly cheap but was fine. The Restaurant was lively... More

The seafood here was top notch! Very fresh fish and the portions were extremely generous. Excellent service, particularly a charming man named Ronny. My family and I were made to feel extremely welcome and went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Would recommend this place to anyone!

The seafood was very fresh and yummy! Very tasty and the hot seafood selection was the perfect choice for winter! The price is a little high but it's worth it!

Nice restaurant very close to Rossio Square. From lobster to prawns and fish, everything was fresh and delicious. We eat at Concha D'ouro each time(6) we visited Lisbon. Indeed, it is not a cheap restaurant but it has value for the money we paid. You can pay by credit card without any problem. Anyway, next time we will be there.One... More

Nice restaurant. Delicious seafood. Well located. Try the rice with shrimps and lobster. It was perfect, as well as the fish "Dourada" with potatoes. Not expensive. Very kind servers.

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
