We were taken here by some of our Portuguese friends during our Lisbon visit and we had an enjoyable experience. We were curious and excited about this place since it was a choice of the local people and because Bacalhau is such as important part of Portuguese food culture. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed the fried cod cakes and... More

Laurentina - a very pretty restaurant with a pretty name. We found the food difficult to eat, however, and sent most of it back. Perhaps we ordered the wrong cod fish -- we had the cod fish that was mixed with what appeared to be potato and cheese. Too heavy. Other than the cod fish mixture, there was nothing else... More

Laurentina is a good fish restaurant. Its popular and the best way to go there is by booking table in advance. When we was there almost every table was occupied, and the staff had a busy night. They had good skills about the menu and recommended from the menu both maincourse and a matching wine. Our waiter was very friendly... More

Cody place with friendly staff. If you like bacalhau (cod fish) you are in the right place with several different ways to cook this Portuguese speciality.

We visited this place in order to taste their famous bacalhau with many expectations, but it didn't manage to satisfy us. The place is a mix of chic and folklore items (there were even plastic flowers all around the place), the service was good, but a little more pretentious than it should, and their bacalhau not so well cooked as... It was a good sign that we were among just a few tourists for lunch. Head waiter speaks English well--others not. Cod was very good. The 'spicy' Mozambican was tasteless in a thick orange sauce. Good reserva Douro valley wine.

Nice place, very good service and excellent typical portuguese food. Prices are OK. I strongly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the best portuguese food the choice "Bacalhau alto na brasa" and "Baba de Camelo" for dessert.

We two went to the restaurant around 6:15pm and had a dinner with fish cakes and bread for starters. Main courses were roasted pork and roasted sardines with a bottle of wine. Fruit salads were the deserts. All food was good and tasteful. Environment of the restaurant was good, tables were clean and the service was ok as well. Total... More

We spent 3 days hunting the traditional Bacalhau accross Lisbon. And after an exhausting excursion we found it! A diversified menu of different types of Bacalhau dishes. The cream and spinash dish was exceptional. Highly recommended, it was simply worth the while!

I went with 5 friends - we are all well travelled and eat out frequently. I can say, without exception, that our meal here was probably one of the worst we have ever eaten (in fact we hardly ate anything and left virtually everything put in front of us!) We all ordered different traditional codfish dishes and didn't eat any... More

Description
The Laurentina Restaurant, the King of the Cod, is distinguished for the quality of its plates and services since 1976, as much in true plates of Mozambican origin, as in the Portuguese traditional kitchen. In a friendly environment, it provides the pleasure of a true meal of Cod, confectioned of diverse forms, being certainly one of the best ones of Portugal.
