Contrary to some reviews which seem to get systemic shock from the salted cod, I defer. Being from Asia, we have our fair share of salted fish and we know it's SALTY. The cod menu is all salted cod. So unless you are Portuguese, be...More

Apparently SALTED cod is a specialty here - although the is not specified anywhere on the menu. It is called the same (bacalao) as fresh cod in Spain. Because the cod is salted, the taste is very fishy and neither of us really enjoyed out...More

The cod was very salty! I do not recommend it. Note the prices posted outside the restaurant are different from those on the actual menu. The food is overly priced. Tip: You are charged for the 'complimentary' dishes if you eat them, like the fish cakes...More

We experience an excellent dinner with Portuguese specialities and on top of this, an awesome service. The waiter spent time with us to explain the origins of the specialities and help us to select the appropriate wine.

Besides the line, since we did not make a reservation, everything was perfect: the food (we had the famous "couvada bacalhau"), the service and the ambient. We must come back some day.

Hey there. In your position, I would always call as they are normally quite full even during the week. Enjoy!

The Laurentina Restaurant, the King of the Cod, is distinguished for the quality of its plates and services since 1976, as much in true plates of Mozambican origin, as in the Portuguese traditional kitchen. In a friendly environment, it provides the pleasure of a true meal of Cod, confectioned of diverse forms, being certainly one of the best ones of Portugal.
