We heard this was an excellent seafood restaurant, and decided to give it a try. Not disappointed. The dorado and snapper were perfectly grilled, and served with an herb olive oil. Our first course was fish soup, second mussels, and dessert was an amazing Sitra almond cheese wonder! All were exceptional. Service was also very good. Only knock on the... More

You know that Doca Peixe must be the best around as it was the only restaurant on the marina packed with people and buzzing with activity. You choose your seafood and it is weighed for you; lobsters, crabs and the most amazing selection of fish and shellfish. My suggestion would be to let the waiter recommend the best way to... More

This is a mandatory stop whenever my family and I are in town. Good options of fresh seafood (including massive Mozambican tiger prawns!!) with a scenic view of the docks and of the 25 de Abril Bridge. Very friendly staff!! It's worth the visit!!

This meal was amazing from start to finish. From the free bread and cheese through to the amazing Apple crumble and ice cream dessert. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The fish was cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Lisbon.

Went here to have steak and lobster. Appetizers were huge which meant hard to finish. Let alone finish mains! Too many bones, too chargrilled(burnt!),wrong drinks, charged for bread and cheese without telling us before dinner, too much oil in squid (swimming in oil!), creme brulee barely cooked!to top it off, got severely sick w vomiting diarrhea and stomache cramps. AVOID... More

The food here was so delicious, the seafood was extremely fresh and tasty and I can highly recommend the steak with garlic sauce which comes with the most amazing creamed spinach and possibly the best fries I have ever had! The view is beautiful over the harbour and the staff were extremely friendly. Perfect spot for a long Sunday lunch.

This was the last try as the previous lunches were not good. We went with another two couples and all was fine this time from the nice welcome of the lady manager that offered us to stay at an outside sunny table while having some champagne to the nice and good food served. The service was great too. Needless to... More

Loved the food - the cheese appetiser (amazing), the clams, the fish, the fresh fruit. Our waiter was friendly and it was good value for money. The dock area is fun and a nice walk from Belem to work off the lunch.

This place is right on the sea front and the views are amazing!! Absolutely fantastic seafood selection and even better tasting it! Went for the mixed grill sea food to share and lordy, absolutely heavenly.. Prices are a tad on the high side, but you dont come out thinking of that, you come out thinking what amazing food!!!

Recommended by our hotel (International Design Hotel) this was a fish lovers dream restaurant. The service was excellent and friendly, The food was wonderful. Not the cheapest. With a couple of bottles of wine between 4 the meal was just under 50 euro's per head but it was a birthday treat and well worth it.

Description
Doca Peixe owes its name to its location as well as its speciality: fish bought fresh from the fish market.

On coming in, you may choose straightaway the fresh fish or shellfish of your preference, which will be weighed and prepared to your taste: charcoal-grilled, cooked in salt, cooked in the oven, etc.

You may also opt for any of the other specialities of Doca Peixe, such as Cod Delight with Clams and Coriander, Octopus ‘Lagareiro’ Style, Codfish with Maize Bread and Sprouts, Shellfish Parillada, etc. Or, if you are more land than sea inclined, we suggest our succulent Sirloin Steaks.

Visit us soon and enjoy the location, the tastes and the ambience, at once sophisticated and informal, of Doca Peixe – arguably the best fish restaurant in the whole of Lisbon.
