Booked in advance for Valentine's Day dinner (with kids in tow). Somehow (I've forgotten why) ended up with a table at 18:30, Arrived and it didn't look much. Not bad at all, but not as smart as some of the places we'd been to in Baixa, etc., Also, the owner cautioned us that it was basically only cold meats and... More

I loved going to BA Wine Bar! It was recommended by a friend who had visited Lisbon recently, and I was glad I made a reservation in advance. Because it's a very small place with only a few tables, and a small staff, they cannot handle many groups at once. While we were there, people kept coming in and asking... More

My wife and I visited three wine bars on our recent trip to Lisbon and although all were wonderful the BA Wine Bar was our favorite. We stopped by on a Thursday evening to see if we could get in but as they are very small (serving up to around 16 people) they didn't have room. They took our mobile... More

My favorite place in Lisbon. An incredibly knowledgable staff, fantastic food and better wines. They care about the little things. The cheese and meats are all locally sourced. I had my mind blown by Tia Joaquina cheese that was divine. Do not leave without taking at least 1 jar of red pepper jam with you. Almost every one of their... More

We arrived early evening without a reservation. They were fully booked but also very accommodating by allowing us to use a table that was booked for later in the evening. Staff were very knowledgeable about the wines and after sampling 3 different wines suggested to us we chose the one we liked the best at only €5 per glass. With... More

If you come to Lisbon and are interested in experience what Portuguese wines are like I highly recommend you come here. The staff is wonderful friendly helpful and of course extremely knowledgeable about their wines. I am by no way a wine connoisseur but I've heard good things about Portuguese wines so I was excited to try what Portugal had... More

If you are wine lovers, this is the best place for you to be. A very nice and kind woman (the owner) will let you travel through Portugal and its best wines explaining you what kind of wine is the best for you, according to your tastes. My hubby and I took a plate for two to share, a mix... More

We visited this cosy Wine Bar on a chilly January evening, but left with a warm glow about us after being enthusiastically led through the interesting and comprehensive menu of Portuguese Cheese and Charcuterie (& Specialist fish if selected). This tasty and varied food was complemented by a personalised recommendation of wines and Ports to not only guarantee to satisfy... More

More than 150 wines by the glass. Port wine flights. One of the best selections of portuguese cheeses, and charcuterie, combined in mixed boards. Handmade canned fish delights. Rare and old Port and Madeira wines collection, also by the glass.

Please note: this is a small and informal traditional wine bar with tapas of cheese and charcuterie that does NOT have any cooked meals; opens around 6pm and starts closing at 11pm, therefore the options breakfast/brunch and late night do not apply; closes on Mondays. Thank you.
