We ordered a delicious ray fish. Staff was friendly, but service was a bit slow due to overcrowded restaurant. We recommend this place.

I went there for the fried cuttlefish, a specialty in Setúbal, and it was great in this restaurant a few years ago. Could have been a bad day, but this time it wasn't so good, the cuttlefish was stiff. The rest of the meal was quite good.

I went there for lunch with the family while on holiday in the area, on the basis of strong reviews. We shared the octopus salad, which was lovely. I also chose the octopus for my main dish, but was told they didn't have it, so in order not to hold things up any longer, I plugged for the fried skate... More

Not easy to find but worth it! We were staying in Troia and this place was recommended by the Design Hotel. Tremendous service by the owner. Made us a shrimp in Garlic sauce that was out of this world. Had a whole red snapper, perfectly fileted. I typically don't like fish but this was out of this world.

Last-minute discovery on Easter evening late, when we had lost all hopes!! The place was incredible: i chose every fish before they cooked it for us.

The restaurant is a mirror of Setúbal's society...if you want to be sure to have a perfect fish-meal,- then you better choose "Poço das Fontainhas"! Stylish environment & a covered terrace offer space for all tastes! The wines are interesting & well chosen! All in all: Very good quality & affordable prizes!

Great jazzy ambience contemplated well by the decor with the fish tank detail by the entrance. The staff is a delight and super nice and helpful, and of course the food is just amazingly fresh and tasty cooked to order.

It's hard to get to a place for the first time and have that feeling of comfort. Poço das Fontaínhas gave me that feeling. Located in one of the older parts of Setubal, called "Fontaínhas" the restaurant blends in with that fisherman neighborhood. The freshness of the fish and seafood it's obvious at the first look from that big showcase... More

If you find yourself in Setubal or across the water in Troia, make the effort to find this place. Fabulous almost endless tapas, great fresh seafood plain grilled in the restaurant's oven that takes pride of place in the middle of the room, good wine, service and atmosphere. What's not to love?

We were taken there by local family. We enjoyed the "Chocos" (Cuttle fish or a quasi-squid) and Salmonetta (Red Striped Mullet) along with great wines. One of our more enjoyable feasts in some time. It was not cheap however comparable to what we'd pay in a decent fish restaurant at home San Diego, CA.
