The main fish or meat dishes were ok but the vegetables were uninteresting and cold. The menu choice of desserts were obviously bought in and straight from the freezer, so we chose not to bother. There are plenty of restaurants nearby so I think O Jango need to up their game quite considerably.

I got the urge for a simple lunch of squid, bread and salad. While not on the menu as a starter they kindly provided one standard garlic portion for me and Chefs special for my wife (piri sauce). Both spot on, crisp fresh salad and yummy garlic bread. Just perfect!

A late night dinner with less choice, and O Jango was open. A curious theme, but reasonable food at reasonable prices ... simply an average restaurant in a city that can offer much, much more.

Finding vegetarian fare on an island is always a challenge. Came across O Jango by accident and am glad we stopped. Great vegetable crepe and garlic bread..highly recommend.

Went to O Jango for the first time having walked past lots of time, and wish we'd stopped here earlier. The food was great, service was ok. The chocolate mousse for desert was amazing. We will be back again.

We found this restaurant by chance when the one we were heading for was full. Three old cottages merged into one restaurant with a rather quirky interior. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the food excellent. We went there three times during out stay it was so good.

Last night, our first night in Madeira, we returned to this restaurant that I have fond memories of. I seem to remember feeling more enthusiastic on my last visit. Although we had a pleasant meal, I was a little disappointed. We sat outside which was great - lots of hustle and bustle- and the weather was perfect. The staff were... More

Nice place. In the end of the old town road due de santa Maria. Taste the local meat chefs recommendation. Good wine by bottle. Very clean toilets. Waiter was such a Person. Inside the traditional looking place, but very warm hearted. Would go again
