Didn't manage to make dinner here but on last day of trip called for lunch. Incredibly cheap for the quality. 2 mains, 1 dessert, a beer and a wine all for 25€. All presented beautifully in interesting and very comfortable surroundings. Considering the prices cbarged by so many of the standard tourist restaurants offering basic 'school dinners' it would seem... More

Reasonably priced lunches or evening fine dining. This latest visit was a delightful evening of fine dining. Consistently good food and service. Shall unquestionably return in the winter. Do book early to be sure of a table.

We were a large party of 13 and came for a meal. Service was good, staff were friendly. Prices were ok, and food was decent. Would try again.

We stopped by Funchal with our boat. The all crew went to Armazem do Sal for dinner. The place is charming, old style dark wooden cellar at the first floor and more open on the ground floor. Waiters are speaking several languages and are very kind and professional. The foid is excellent, refined and very well presented. Every meal is... More

Reasonably priced lunches with as high standards as in fine dining. Dinners excellent but a la carte list enables better choices than the tasting menu. A must on each Madeira visit and never a disappointment.

We enjoyed our dinner last night. When we arrived we were greeted in a welcoming way. Our table was close to air conditioning, and on our request another table was found immediately. The wine, food and service were very good.

This restaurant is located in a old building that has been well renovated keeping the charm of its past. We decided to go with the tasting menu which was excellent all the way. The wine pairing was also very interesting, showcasing wines from the island. The glasses were filled generously. Where this place really hits the mark is how well... More

I went to this restaurant with a couple of friends to celebrate my birthday. The service started a bit slow because they were full but after that, we were given lots of attention. The food was great as well as the wine proposed. Deserts were from heaven. I think it was one of the best meals of my life.

Had booking for Saturday evening, they played life music from 7:30pm which was nicely entertaining and not loud even we were sat next to musician. Service is great, everyone very helpful. Menu selection quite large and was good.
