Even if they hadn't looked after the bag I left on the table at my first visit I would rate this bar. Well worth the walk through the old town to be able to look over the Atlantic whilst eating good food & drinking good beer. It's what holidays are for. Go Enjoy!

We had breakfast here one day, as well as stopping off one afternoon for too many lovely Mohitos and glasses of cold white wine. The view out to sea is wonderful and the place is nearly always busy. There's a young crowd there as well as the visitors, but they're very civilised and pleasant. The food we had was simple... More

A great find if you can walk the length of the town. Situated up the hill behind the yellow fort, it's worth the walk. Small beers for only 1.50 and a good burger and fries for 6.50. A popular cafe bar and I'm not surprised. Take in the view and visit the nearby church. A charming location with good quick... More

Always busy, this friendly bar is in a quiet spot on the edge of Funchal old town. Service is friendly and efficient ( all guys and all handsome!), drinks are well priced and food fast, ok and cheap!

After seeing reviews for this bar my friends and I decided to visit for lunch. It was beautiful sat outside overlooking sea and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. We all had a salad and we had no complaints.

This has been a favourite spot for a drink for some time, with wonderful views, good coffee and pleasant service. At last we stayed to eat here, and were glad we had. Ample toasties with hand-cut chips, a delicious smoked salmon roll - and all very reasonably priced. A bargain in fact. Can't think why we hadn't had lunch here... More
