We found the hotel during a tv program about Santiago's pilgrimage. We tried one of the restaurant's speciality (roast) and it was sublime. 1/2 roast would feed (at least) 4! Do recommend it.

I returned to Pedra Furada to experience more of the same excellent hospitality I experienced here before: for dinner, and again the service and freshness of the food did not fail: a warm fresh and rich soup o legume: carrots, kale, turnip, followed by a hearty plate of proteineous melange of beans, rice and breaded codfish - fried to perfection... This place is fantastic! There's a wonderful atmosphere inside, filled with locals and pilgrims. The interior is nicely decorated with bright colours, artwork and photos/articles of the place through the years. The food is home cooked and full of flavour- good value for money. The hosts are very welcoming and happy to help with all they can. This place is... More

this restaurant serves hearty good local dishes and is very reasonably priced - the only issue is the front of house sister who doesn't speak any English at all and is very brusque so you have difficulty ordering if you don"t speak or read Portuguese. The brother of the family is lovely and does speak some English but often works... More

Went there for a coffee on my way to Santiago. It is a perfect spot to stop for a break and, if you like jazz, have a conversation with the staff!

Stopped here while walking the Camino Portuguese. It was lunchtime and crowded with locals and pilgrims alike. The atmosphere was rustic-cozy with a nice bar in front and a separate dining room in back as well as several tables adjacent to the bar. I ended up sharing a table with three local businessmen who (even with my limited Portuguese and... More

Great home cooked food. Don't be turned off by the owner's sister's attitude. She can be cold when serving her home cooking, but the chicken rice soup was to die for. So are the desserts! Antonio was an excellent host. He's a natural in hospitality industry.
