We were looking for the cheapest place and we found it. We hoped that if it is in the center it should be good anyway. However it is not like this. Compare ti great Porto steakes steakes here were tough. Well more or less it was ok. But garnish was awful: fried potatoes in the form of chips, some rice... More

The restaurant is located in a fair size square surrounded by historical buildings. There are few restaurants that share the square. We looked at a few menus of the lot of restaurants and found that Santiago had the best menu at the best price. Main course plates start at 8.00€· Good and courteous service. Great place to have lunch on... More

Good food, loved the grilled octopus with onion and potatoes. My husband had the pork, also very tasty. Small, but nice restaurant, can recommend.

We ate here three times during a ten day visit to Guimaraes. It was consistently good - the grilled octopus was one of the best we ate, and very tender. The service was prompt and efficient. The setting is excellent - wonderful place to sit in the sun and watch the world go by. Would definitely recommend it.

We had a lunch in this restaurant on a very hot afternoon at the end of July. Restaurant had quite high reviews, but meal was really mediocre.Portions are small. Boiled potatoes had unpleasant taste (almost smelling of chlorine). Taste of all the dished was really mediocre - between 4 of us we had grilled fish, two types of pork dishes... More

I ate here with some friends, and paid around 10 euros with main plate and wine. I tried the duck rice and sincerely it was quite average with almost no taste, the house wine was good.

We stopped for quick lunch at this restaurant. It was random choice and we didn't know what to expect. Before making an order, we asked a waiter if we could order just a soup. They were fine with a small order which is not acceptable in some restaurants. The service was great. We looked at the menu and they had... More

Good place, good simple food (especially fish), good wine, good service! We chose this place without reading any advices - liked the atmosphere and huge place with tables. Prices are not high at all. Hope, we will visit this beautiful town one day and will explore this restaurant again.
