Great place for lunch or dinner. We had a fun dinner our first night tightly packed into this tiny restaurant that they will always find room for an extra couple. The Portuguese acoustic guitar was nice too. You can't miss on the shrimp. We came back for lunch a couple of days later for a hearty sandwich packed with steak,... More

We found this place by chance. It's small and typically Portuguese. Very reasonably priced and therefore you get what you pay for, our two fish dishes were rather more bones than fish but still a pleasant dinner.

Another great find on our trip. Authentic Portuguese cuisine with fresh produce. Very near Ribeira, but subtly tucked away in a quiet side street. We went twice in 4 days and queued both times as it was small and highly in demand by locals...not many tourists. The staff were friendly and engaging, multi-lingual it seemed. I had sardines 1st time... More

We had their signature codfish and the shrimp and squid rice. The food was very fresh and delicious, we inhaled every bit and drop of it! Service was great as well and the price was very affordable, our meal plus drinks cost us less than 30 euros in total. The ambience was very cosy and more quiet compared to other... More

We had a wonderful meal with friends at Ora Viva. The restaurant is in the Ribeira area of Porto found off a medieval street. The food was absolutely great, the staff very warm and friendly. We sat there all night drinking Portuguese wine, and Porto wine from a local winery. Highly recommended. Make reservations as it is in high demand.

Stumbled across this tiny restaurant one lunchtime and it was very busy. We came back next day for dinner without a reservation but were given a table after a 10minute wait. Service good and order taken within minutes despite restaurant being completely full. We had Picanha and Swordfish. Both came within 15 mins of ordering and were very good. The... More

This place is really small (narrow) - like a plane with a narrow isle Food is hoisted manually up from below. The food is good and plenty. Wine is limited Very reasonable

My boyfriend and I went here for a meal while in Porto. The Pastel de Bacalhau that I had for a starter was freshly made, hot and very tasty. We shared the Octopus main which was cooked beautifully, with a good mix of potatoes and cabbage to go with it. A real treat! There were plenty of people queuing for... More

Excellent food and a lovely atmosphere, very reasonably priced. The restaurant is busy, so book to avoid disappointment.

The restaurant is located on a side street off a main tourist area by the river. It is very small but has its own unique charm. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The manager speaks English. It's an unassuming little place, but definitely a good place to eat at. More authentic than the large, touristy places.
