We went there for a late lunch (around 3p.m.) and decided to seat on the counter (balcão), because the food is cheaper than on the upper floor, where there are formal tables. We ordered the octopus rice and the fried fish fillets with rice and salad. The octopus rice was amazingly tender and really tasty. The fish was tasty and... More

Would have walked past this place thinking it was just a takeaway but there is seating upstairs. Locals eat here and fantastic value. The chicken was great. There was a queue but we had booked a table earlier in the day so was able to walk right past it. Wine was really good as well.

Went there last weekend and had some chicken and a beer. The meal was quite good, but there was a bit of a line to sit down. Because it's on an old building, entering with baby carts may be challenging

My meal was completely forgotten about which was of little concern to the waiters. The meals that did come were very nice but the complete lack of service is more than enough to put anyone off coming in. Would give zero stars if I could !!!

If you want great chicken in Porto, this is the place to go. It doesn't look like much with its canteen atmosphere and plastic tablecloths but the food is excellent and great value. We had a whole rotisserie roasted chicken between us with lashings of chips and some very good local white wine. We went early at around 1800. by... More

Everything is said in the title. The Portuguese chicken is very good and served in generous portions so you will not be hungry after! An authentic canteen in the heart of Porto and well located.

If you're on a budget and want a great meal, this is your place. I ate with a friend of mine (all the food we could eat) with beer and water, and it was 13 euros for the two of us. It's a deal.

It has been 45 minutes so far, hot as hell. AC doesn't seem to work, people per square meter completely not legal... Food is nice. Will comeback if temperature below 25C, and only be seated at window of possible...

Lots of families eating here so felt traditional. Had the alheira sausage with egg and chips and salad, very decent portion. Also tried green wine, would recommend
