Just ask for the meat pork sandwich with cheese and a glass of wine or a bear and you will ask for more! It is delicious! Don't be scare with the queue at the door, because it worth the wait!

If you want to eat the authentic gammon sandwich, come to Casa Guides. The place is simple and cheap, the sandwiches are awesome! Good for a quick lunch.

Went here on a recommendation and after reading TripAdvisor to be sure. What a fantastic experience! The pernil pork was delicious as was the cod. We had the vinho verde with it all. It seemed that most of the customers were local or a least Portuguese and they tucked in to the signature pernil pork sandwich on way to other... More

We went there for breakfast since it was close to where we stayed, but left quite disappointed. Service was close to impolite (may be because it was shortly after they opened) and the sandwiches were nothing special. The only thing which was special in those was the sheep cheese. Would not return.

Simply some of the best sandwiches you'll ever have. The roast pork but also just the cheese on its own make for amazing munching. The service is great, food couldn't be tastier and the price is downright cheap.

Our well-versed and friendly tour guide at Casa da Musica recommended this place when we discussed about local food at the end of the tour. We heard from her that this is the place where the locals go. When we arrived for dinner at the tiny place it was very crowded and the queue, since this is a self-service eatery... More

This is one of the oldest spots in the city with a great "Perninl Sandwich" that is really tasty and its better with wine.

We got into town and were looking for a late lunch and found this place in both Lonely Planet and highly ranked on TA. It didn't disappoint. Two pork and cheese crusty rolls, a plate of fries, a beer and a glass of sangria- all for about 14€. Happy tummies and happy wallets!👍

Thank Derek W

An excelent to eat in between locals and as a local in Porto. It has one of the most amazing sandwiches in town. All in all an excelent place to discover portuguese typical products, ham, chorizo, portuguese cheese, wine, etc.
