Came across this restaurant just up from the river on our first night in Porto. Very friendly owner/manager who tempted us in. The food was very good, cheese and olives as an appetiser followed by main of golden bream which came with boiled potatoes which was a nice change. 45 euros for 2 including a bottle of wine.

Stumbled across this busy taverna on the way down to the Riberinha and decided to give the place a shot, lured in by its offer of 'francesinhas and drink for €8' offer. None of the 7 people in our family had tried francesinhas before and so we gave it a world. The best thing about this establishment is the friendly... More

Ended up here by chance when I was looking for a place where to enjoy a quick lunch break. The place is at a stone's throw from the district of la Ribeira and overlooks the Douro river. Service was quick and polite, the francesinha was delightful. Price was reasonable. Recommended.

We have already been twice at this restaurant. First we saw the place when we where out looking for drinks. A mojito is 4€. We loved this place. It's quiet but still nice sitting outside enjoying people walking by. The second day we went for eating. The prices a bit expensive, but worth it. The waiters working there is observant,... More

The view over looking the Douro River was beautiful with the lights across the water. Service was friendly and attentive (espescially Mario our waiter). The white wine was very good and went well with the cod, which was excellent.

We choose this place for lunch and the food was standard. The place is a normal bar, nothing special at all. Perhaps a little bit too expensive, basically due to the central position. What to add? Simply do not look for this place (even if suggested by the famous guides), you could be upset. Summary: good for a stop if... More

We were drawn by the situation on a hill looking down to the river but the food didn't let the place down. It's not fancy, just very good.

As others have said just up the hill from the River. Room for about 20 outside and more inside. Lamb Chops were plentiful and very tasty and a huge steak was great too. Nice half bottle of wine and some good Port. Possibly our most enjoyable simple Meal in 5 days in Porto.Definitely look this place up even if just... More

I like the taverna! Nothing special, not a restaurant, of course, but for me, it dosn`t matter. We found it by chance and it was one of the best place, where we could eat in Porto. An octopus was extremely tasty and cheaper, than in other places, wine was good, stuff were super friendly and helpful. What should we want... More
